What's new for the Chief of Stuff Podcast - "Bored Meeting" (hint: a lot!)

Hi there! It’s me - Sarah.

I’ve done a lot over the course of my career to earn the title of “Chief of Stuff,” but last year I became a turnaround CEO for an audio software company. You would think that I had “made it,” but the experience tested my spirit and resolve in ways that I never thought possible. Frankly, it was awful - but more on that another time. It’s done now, I found a successful outcome, and we can move on to bigger and more important pursuits - like what’s happening with Chief of Stuff!

Oddly enough, I started the role the same week we launched “Bored Meeting” our new podcast. When I was at my most stressed out, I found myself turning to conversations with the team and editing as an antidote for the chaos. And why wouldn’t it be! The topics are fun, the conversations enjoyable, and the medium is fresh.

In the past couple of weeks, I’ve been rethinking the podcast and how we can best serve you. I believe that you deserve more choices and formats for discovery - long form, short form, conversational etc. I am also mindful of taking up too much of your time or distracting you from the ultimate goal - giving you space to explore your curiosity aka living fully.

So what does that mean? Today I released “Episode 11 - Circling Back with Sarah” so you can hear from me directly. In under 10 minutes I share my vision, where I believe the podcast stands in relation to social media, and what you can expect going forward. Listen now on Spotify or Apple Podcasts. (Yes! we are on Apple now! Woo hoo!)

The biggest change is now we have four types of episodes. Each are color coded so you can easily browse, find, and listen. I haven’t seen this done anywhere else, but I’m a big believer in visual cues, psychology of color, and ultimately - making life simple! You’ll notice it starting with Episodes 8 - 11.

Also, we have 2-3 new episodes planned each week and our February “Bored Meeting” Agenda is jam packed with great stuff. Make sure to “Subscribe/Follow” so you don’t miss an episode. Here’s a preview of what’s ahead:

• Friday, Feb 9th - “Reasons to Celebrate” featuring the Lunar New Year (a COS official holiday)

• Sunday, Feb 11th - “Building a Foodie Paradise” an exclusive interview with the founders of London’s hottest startup Appetite App. Plus, an extra special offer we’ve created for Bored Members - it’s delish!

Then we have a special Valentines Day Episode slated and later in the month, we do some armchair exploration about one of our favorite topics - travel! Then we’ll switch gears for our official “Film Stuff - Oscar Week.” In addition to testing new formats of episodes, we’re also sticking with themes because it allows you to explore a topic fully and not get bored!
